    Mortified and a little offended, Grian snapped, "What's so funny?"

    "Nothing, nothing," Scar said, in a tone that implied there was absolutely something.

    "I don't buy that for a second," Grian hissed. He reached up, missed the first time, and eventually managed to get his fists curled into the collar of Scar's shirt. It earned him another round of snickering. "Seriously, what kind of trouble's up your sleeves tonight? Are you just determined to make these next few minutes hell for me?"

    "Oh? Little ole me?" Scar feigned innocence. "How could I possibly be bothering you, G? All I've done is get comfortable."

    Further adding to the issue, he gave Grian's hips a teasing squeeze.

    Well. That would be unnecessary, in his case."

    This is my take on "Sick Mind" + a little bit of episode 14 which comes after. Sick Mind is one of my favorite episodes, and while I am not the first person to write about it, I hope I did it justice. In my take on it, I developed some additional lore about the disease + also Ratchet's background as a doctor. Written in a "missing scenes" style, where the parts are written into the parts we see in the actual episodes.

    "No!” Convoy throws up his servos, almost defensively. “My point was that you were not required to help me in this particular manner, but that I was thankful that you did. I know that managing interpersonal squabbles is not your favorite activity, by any means… and you already do so much for me, that I sometimes feel as if I can never repay you.”
    Ratchet cannot bring himself to meet Convoy’s gaze, as his fans kick up a notch, in spite of his intentions. He never knows what to say— how to comport himself, in response to Convoy’s open earnestness.
    “… thank you, Commander.” Ratchet forces out of his vocalizer, awkwardly. “You do not need to repay anything at all. I am glad to assist you, in any way that I can, regardless of my assigned ‘role’ … or my limited skill set. It is my duty to support you, as your second.”
