“Ahh, so this is about expectations?” Clark huffed a small, incredulous laugh. He had started to pace slowly in the space between them, frustration evident in his posture.
“I’d expect Brucie Wayne to be upstairs with his date by now, not arguing about ‘mission critical rest’ with me.” Clark took a deep breath. He noticed that Clark did little things like that, taking in air he didn’t need, staying behind to argue with Bruce when anyone else would have left.

Summary
Dean sits back with his beer surveying all the people in the bunker’s sizeable kitchen. All the family. He lets the noise wash over him as his attention shifts from the young adults to the… well… adultier adults. Sam and Castiel have already started carving, and Jody and Donna are busy with roasting the already liberated seeds. He takes a swig of his beer, patiently waiting for the next pumpkin to be ready for carving.
His eyes quickly move over the crowd once more, coming to rest on Cas. The Angel has a look of deep concentration on his face as he carefully carves out the fairly simple design of a stereotypical smiling jack-o-lantern. His brow is furrowed, mouth set in a small frown, blue eyes focus on the knife in his hand as thought its the most important task he’s ever been given, instead of something so mundane as pumpkin carving.
