A WIP. The concept: Jack Rackham, Loki and the Baba Yaga have formed a kind of interdimensional LLC of a sort; they mostly untangle contracts that entities have gotten themselves into. Just as Ron is truly having a final, wrackspurt-induced, alcohol-inflamed psychotic break, he finds that there are forces far beyond his control that have a very different path for him. Namely those forces of the Great Houses Lovegood, Bulstrode and Malfoy. Ron and his pet cockatoo, Sturgil, cross a threshold of more than one level of reality. Polyamory, adults doing their best, recovery story, lots of inner narration. Complex!Ron POV. Buckle up.

Her grip tightened, and Dell was suddenly aware of how big Winn was. The next moment Winn tugged on her arm, and upended Delly across her lap. Her thighs were sturdy and warm, and Delly dangled over them, blood rushing to her head. She felt a heavy hand resting in the small of her back with just enough pressure to indicate that an attempt to scramble upright would be unsuccessful.
“Seems to me ,” Winn continued implacably, “that what you need is a dose of the discipline your parents would have given you long ago, if they hadn’t been so criminally neglectful.”
A lump formed in Delly’s throat. “What are you saying? You’re going to wallop me?”
“Fraid so, my girl. In fact I’m going to give you a jolly good hiding. Not because you’re bad - you aren’t, no matter how many people have told you otherwise. But because I know you can do better, and I care about you enough to take responsibility for your behaviour.”
