Summary
From vampiric conception to freedom, Astarion has felt chained his entire life. When he finally escapes Cazador's clutches, nearly 200 years have passed. He barely knows life outside of Baldur's Gate. Going off of survival instinct, he groups with a ragtag band of fellow tadpole infected beings in order to get the creature out of their heads. Maybe along the way he'll learn how to permanently walk in the sun again and enjoy life like it was B.C. (Before Cazador).
Basically a character study that delves into a dangerous exploration of his past and how he acts. Please read the content warnings for each chapter since it can get very heavy.

“Well, what’d you tell them?” Crowley raises his glass to take a drink.
“I told them that I, um—“ Aziraphale means to put it delicately, make it sound logical and perfectly ordinary. Instead, it comes out as: “ImighthavetoldthemthatImiracledyoutofallinlovewithme. Er.”
Crowley spits out his drink. “You what?” he sputters.
Only a knee-jerk reaction of a miracle saves Aziraphale from being sprayed with talisker.
When Heaven comes to the bookshop to ask about the twenty five lazurii miracle, Aziraphale panics and claims it was to make Crowley fall in love with him. Now, they’re sending someone to check. There’s only one possible solution.
They have to pretend to conduct a courtship.
