Summary
So way back over a decade ago - probably closer to two decades ago, actually - there was this blogging site known as LiveJournal. Hilariously, it's still up and running, same with the community known as "500themes," which provided the ultimate writing challenge:
500 different prompts. For folks to try and tackle and complete. I don't remember when we first stumbled upon this list, but I know that I have attempted it... honestly, far too many times. The last attempt I completed 69 (nice) prompts.
I'm posting the current attempt on AO3 - I know it's gonna take me years to finish it, at the rate I'm going. But finish it I fucking will.

(Part 3 of the Encoder Zim AU series - might get confusing to read this without reading Canon Event and Defection Event first).
The non-linear timeline shenanigans of Encoder Zim resume! Zim has to figure out what happened to the entirety of the Irken Race and figure out why there are two Dibs, sharing a body - before he and Jazz follow suit with the rest of the Irken Race.
All hail Mr. Sludgey, by the way, for he is Eternal.

Summary
A look into how our collective brain works and the mental health work we have done as a System throughout the years. A bit disjointed; we start out with poking through old memories and imagination exercises and then it becomes heavily apparent that one of us blames himself for our current state in life.
He's not the reason why we've suffered, of course. But try telling him that.

Kenji Adler thought, once he'd changed his name and profession, he'd never be caught dead at the Palace ever again.
Apparently, he thought wrong. Emperor Michael Foraker, a man Kenji hated in his past life, is in need of Kenji's services. And Kenji is uniquely qualified for the job... after all, his long dead husband was the Emperor before Michael, and therefore, Kenji's familiar with the NDAs and whatnot required by the Palace.
The two might not be fond of each other, but that - well. Kenji is a fucking professional.

Summary
Zim stares up at Tallest Red and Tallest Purple; at the Control Brains. “My Tallest – Zim would never commit treason –”
“We literally just watched you commit it, Zim!” Tallest Purple cries, gesturing to the giant memory screens – all of them displaying the handful of moments Zim had been so deeply embedded in, just moments ago. “That human – you agreed to help him protect his planet! The planet you were in charge of Encoding!”
This story picks up right where Canon Event left off - during Zim's Defection trial. How the hell does Zim plan to get out of this mess? Defection means death, and we can't have that! He needs to get back to the Dib!

Summary
When Zohran Mamdani walked into the Oval Office, he’d been prepared for just about anything. Zohran expected Trump to give him that squinty-eyed look and call him a communist and a jihadist and all of the other things both the Democrats and Republicans had thrown at him during his campaign trail.
He hadn’t been prepared for this.

a story that's been bouncing around the ol' noggin since we were like, 15? years old? something like that. when our ex decided to inform us that writing fanfiction was a waste of our fucking talent as a writer and that we should be writing original stories.
bitch, fanfiction is fun and you can do way more shit with it than you can original stuff -- but hey. who said you can't write original fiction in the style of fanfic / as though people know all of the details? Rainbow Rowell does that with the Simon Snow Trilogy -- and it's incredible. Why can't I do the same?
this is that attempt. or well, it was, but now we're changing gears and shifting the story to a new version of it - where the main character, Jasper "Jazz" Callahan is Emperor, he has DID, a failing marriage, and a strange, very intimate relationship with his Head Councilor.
07/28/2025: listing this as abandoned but like. there's always the possibility we'll come back to this.

Summary
A very meta novel where a DID system learns to team up together to seriously buckle down and write their debut novel (and eventual book series). They know that this is what they want to do, and GODDAMNIT, they're gonna do it.
update 12.25.24 - we got what we needed out of writing this, so we are marking it complete at 19 chapters. Pillow Talk will probably get its proper rewrite next, or elements of it will at least. sometimes, you gotta write the idea even if it's not going to be finished. sometimes, it's so you can level up and do the even harder things you want to do as a writer.
writing is a tough gig, man. it just is. you gotta be able to get in the heads of your characters proper or it just ain't gonna work. <3 you did good with this, though, kid. fantastic job getting your feet back under you.

Summary
The English language is a tricky language. Incredibly tricky. It borrows words and phrases and even just suffixes and prefixes from other languages. It sees rules and tosses them aside.
I think there's even a joke that English is the language that goes around and steals the spare words from other languages. Like beating up people for their lunch money.
CW mentions of abuse & neglect -- CSA, SA, physical, mental. If it's abuse, it'll likely get covered.
But also an exploration of the beauty of the human race -- and even how, as a person with DID, each of our alters are human. They deserve respect and to be honored accordingly.
And so does every other living thing on this planet.

Summary
Formerly known as Encoder Zim / Encoder Zim AU - the real title came to me, which is Canon Event.
This is a non-linear story -- ultimately, Zim came to Earth as an Irken Encoder. His job was to learn about the planet, its history, and its inhabitants' weaknesses -- all so the process of assimilating the planet into the Irken Empire can go as smoothly as possible. This is a long process -- but Zim is very, very competent at his job.
Over the course of 20 years, though, Zim has finally met his match in a human named Dib Membrane. He may be just a tiny bit obsessed with him. Just a tiny bit.
It would probably help if he'd just admit that, though.

Summary
This is a collection of pieces written for an online writing competition that got started on LiveJournal, back in the early 00's. I first participated in this competition in 2012, and it's... impressive how much we've grown as a person since then. We made life long friends during that first season we participated in. We've learned our ex-wife was abusive. We've been a single parent in practice and not just in theory for 10 years, now.
We would not have survived 2013/2014 without this writing community. It gave us the confidence to start writing again. It gave us the ability to trust our voice. Our perception of reality.
I wanted to collect these pieces in a little anthology of sorts. A portfolio, if you will, of our collective writing ability. - Andrew

Summary
He sees the yellow. The white. Winces as Simon then vomits on the floor and wants nothing more than to rub soothing circles into Simon’s back as he does, but settles for pushing Simon into his desk chair. Settles for keeping his hands on Simon’s shoulders as the other boy takes in painful, shuddering breaths.
Hanahaki.
Simon – no, Snow, has Hanahki Disease.
His nails dig into Snow’s shoulders when his eyes open – exhausted and burned out. Empty, like his lungs aren’t. He’s hardly breathing himself as he lets his eyes scan Snow’s body. He doesn’t have control of his expression, either, as he asks, “Snow. How long has this been going on?”
AKA, the Baz POV I desperately needed after reading doodleishere's beautiful Simon-has-Hanahaki fic, "POUR OUT FROM THE SIDES OF MY MOUTH."

Miles doesn't know when such early morning conversations with Phoenix were things he'd grown to expect from the other man, but.
It wasn't a shock at all, when Phoenix stumbled into revealing his crush on Franziska, Miles' sister, of all people. Nope. Not at all.

Summary
Laurent could see the tension in Damen’s shoulders as he dismounted; heard the roughness in Damen’s voice as he ordered for a party to pursue the riders. How his voice faltered as he said, “We stop here to bury the dead.”
And there would be plenty of dead to bury. Laurent breathed in, smoke thick in the air and uncomfortable in his lungs. He, too, slipped off his horse, his eyes trailing the loosed hound toward an outbuilding just as Damen’s did. As if summoned by the whined orders from the dog, Damen moved towards it, kicking up ash and dirt along the way. Laurent followed.
It bothered him, that he would always follow.

Summary
Shamelessly rewrote the last few chapters of Captive Prince in Laurent's POV as a character-exercise. Laurent's mind is a fun place, indeed... Starts from the moment Damen and Laurent are left alone in Laurent's room, after the assassination attempt.
