“Sea Raptor to Control, come in Control,” she said. “I’ve got a ping on my radar monitor. One craft at 35,000 feet, 15 miles and closing at 200 knots.”
“We see it, Sea Raptor,” Whiplash informed her, voice as stern as ever.
“Is that one of ours? I thought the airspace was restricted.”
There was silence for a few long, long moments. Phoenix frowned, squinting into the distance. Indeed, there was a small craft low at her one o’ clock, faint and almost unnoticeable in its white paint. Weird. Possible intelligence craft. Maybe aggressive. But usually enemy craft weren’t that small, or that pale. “Sea Raptor to Control, I have eyes on the craft. One bogey, 10 miles and closing. Is it one of ours?” Still no response. “I’m going to check it out.”
