Summary
Adora was raised in the ranks of the Horde. She believed their mission was just and would unchain the shackles of all Etherians. How could she have fallen for a lie so obvious for so long. She believed in the cause it as Shadow Weaver tortured her best friend. She believed in the cause as Catra defected the Horde and became the legendary warrior "She-Ra". She believed in the cause even as she pulled the switch and ended reality.
No longer would she fall sway to the whims of petty tyrants. A great evil was on its way, alerted by the portals activation. Hordak was evil yes. But if she seized command, maybe, just maybe, she could wield the Horde for good, and save Etheria from destruction. Maybe, if successful, Adora could rebuild her relationship with the person she cared for most on this planet.
EDIT: Hey this is TheLastEmuHunter in 2025. It's unlikely that I'm ever going to continue work on this fic, so consider it dead. Sorry to those who enjoyed the first chapter. I might post the draft of the second chapter if there's any interest. I made the suggestion to my friend TransOuroboros to continue it, and she displayed interest, so I'll put another update if she decides to.

“Weiss Schnee was last seen in Vale, where she was later pronounced dead. No body has been recovered as of yet, but they are still searching.”
She didn't even recognize the person staring back at her through the reflection of the mirror. She wasn’t even spared a single glance, it was like she wasn’t even there. She could walk freely without being recognized.
“You have your mother's eyes.”
It was too late to turn back now. She has nowhere to go and she has a little girl depending on her for survival, because of her own foolishness.
“She's alive.”
The woman tenses beneath her touch, having regained a little bit of consciousness, and Ruby glances over to her, silver eyes meeting with a puzzled, yet disoriented pair of foggy blue. She was still responsive.
“Everything that I was afraid would happen, actually happened.”

Summary
