Young Phainon dreamed once. He remembers golden wheat, wind chimes, and a promise. Someone smiling. Someone warm. Someone… important. But the dream slipped away like sand through his fingers. He doesn’t remember all the details of it, mostly just the ache it left behind. That it was about something important.
Then a grey-haired boy appears in the village, washed ashore with no memories but one:
"I’m from the stars."
"What’s it like?"
"I… don’t remember. But I think I have a mission."The words stir something — not a memory, exactly. More like an echo.
And when Phainon meets the other boy’s eyes, the ache in his chest quiets — just a little.
Something about Caelus feels familiar. Safe. Like a fading echo from another time.
