Summary
In the aftermath of the sacking of Eregion, Sauron, expecting little challenge from the Uruk army he believes to be his by rights, has departed the city to hunt down the refugees, leaving the army under the watch of his sworn lieutenants. But the army is divided between factions that accept Sauron as master and those that are wary of Sauron and loyal to Adar and believe in the life of freedom he promised to his children. Racked by infighting and with only Adar's memory and training to guide them, they prepare for battle against an enemy of overwhelming power.
