Summary
This is a revised rewrite of the last two chapters of my X-Men fic of the same name. I wrote this awhile back and I just feel that after that Wolverine cameo in X-Men Apocalypse that X-Men Origins Wolverine needed a darker ending.
There is an original character in this, she was in the first version of my Origins movie fic. Her name is Vanessa Pyre... and she is a mutant. When I created her back in 2009 (when I first wrote the movie fic) I wasn't aware of Vanessa Carlyle but my Vanessa wound out being quite similar to the comic Vanessa (even the movie version of her wound up being close to my Vanessa in appearance in the Deadpool movie).
Plus, on a side note, I totally can see Johnny Depp playing Nathaniel Essex aka Mr. Sinister ;)
And I see the young Stryker from Days of Future Past and Apocalypse in this rather than Danny Hudson.

This story is based on a Role Play I have been privileged to play with DannyPhantomHalfa who created all the Original Characters in this story that are clones (I snuck in one Original Character, Vanessa Pyre). DannyP also came up with some of the story with me... and we both hope you all enjoy the read :)
Hydra has continued the Weapon X Program even adding their own twisted touch to the project. Run by Madame Hydra aka Viper herself, this new updated Weapon X program has done lots of genetic modification and cloning to recreate Weapon X/Wolverine through various clones. They have spliced the DNA of other Mutants into that of Logan's in order to create the Perfect Weapons which will then be turned loose on all of Hydra's (or should I say, Madame Hydra’s) enemies.
But what Viper doesn't count on.... is those 'Weapons' escaping. Nor did she anticipate that these clones known as The Howletts would find their way to their progenitor, Logan.
And when the Howlett clones do meet up with the legendary Wolverine... Logan is confronted with the responsibility of Parenthood. Can he meet the challenge... or will this be the downfall of the Wolverine?

Captain Rogers has let Doctor Banner have his time alone for a year now, but with General Ross now Secretary of Defense in the current Administration (Trump), the Good Captain needs to locate the on-the-lam Doctor after being 'threatened' with the Sokovia Accords (which is the Mutant Restration Act rehashed and now on a global scale).
