Summary
Years on from Bandee, part of him was still scared of how Ryan made him feel. The things he made him want. Maybe he'd never be able to let go of that fear entirely, ruined by what they'd been through in more ways than a murderous shadow. But tonight there was an ache inside of him like a bruise and Naim needed desperately for it to be pressed.
Naim and Ryan go to a friend's birthday, and Naim lets himself want without fear.

Summary
John kills the engine and the lights and throws his arm up on the back of the bench seat, an open invitation Gale doesn’t accept just yet.
“This gonna be the kind of film I think it is, John?”
“Uh-huh. Double feature.” Gale shoots him a look that makes John raise his hands in surrender, though he keeps his elbow planted up on the back of the seat, hand just above Gale’s shoulder. “Hey, we can leave anytime you want, doll. Up to you.”
“We gonna have to be careful here?”
“No.”
Gale nods, takes another look at the scatterings of people already parked up and ready, at the people wandering around the lot between the cars, bending down to chat through open windows, heading up to the entrance to get snacks or heading back to their spots with their hands already full. It’s clear enough John means it — all Gale can see is trousers and jeans, men like them and men like the kind who always flock to John at their bar when they go, slim and soft-skinned with long, feathered hair and with that little sway in their hips like they’ve never had to worry about what that says to everyone around them, and every single one of them perfectly at ease.

Summary
John looked at him and said, “Hey, Buck. Tell me something.”
Gale, obliging because it cost him nothing, said, “Yeah? What do you wanna know?”
“Tell me the worst thing you ever did.”
“Bucky.” Gale was looking at him with attention now, trying to figure out his angle. “What?”
“Come on, Buck, gimme a baseline here. What’s the worst thing you ever did? You tell me and I’ll tell you.”
In a brief rush of careless honesty, Gale said, “Got bucked off a horse when I was a kid. Probably that."
“Yeah, that’s you, Buck! That’s you. Jesus, bud. Worst thing you ever did was fuckin’ fall down.”

Summary
"I think there's something wrong with me." It's a whisper dragged from Samira's lips, from the very depth of her.
"I think I might be a bad person." Chokes on it, on the pain, on the terrible truth, the indictment of her soul, of her morality, of her humanity. The evidence - plain and simple - that Samira Mohan was rotten to the core.

Raylan plugs at the hazard lights with two fingers. “You alright?”
The cadence makes it come out with the leveled candor of You Are Not Alright. Tim’s gaze flashes.
“Oh, I’m just peachy. Eager to get back home so I can go crosseyed and forget what I already did the slow work of burying, why? Car’s fucked?”
“You seem peckish.”
Tim’s knuckles tighten in their fist around the plastic handle. “I’m always peckish.”

Summary
Buck’s bike is still rumbling, thick-soled boots planted firmly either side of it and his gaze pinning her in place for the first time since he and Bucky left the bar.
“Alright c’mon Buck, let’s leave the lady to her fate. She’s smart enough to know what she wants.”
Bucky pushes off Buck’s bike to straddle the one beside it. It takes another full-body maneuver like Buck’s, starting the thing – heft and weight and the sudden jolt of a spark catching, engine roaring to life to settle into a chugging sort of purr. Marge takes a step towards the pair of them, away from the threat of the rest of the guys at her back still catcalling.
Marge’s gaze flickers to Bucky settling in, fingers flexing restless around molded leather grips.
Buck watches her, unmoving.
His shoulder is sturdy when she marches up to put her hand on it, shouts and whistles and hollering behind her making her neck burn as she swings her leg over the seat like she’s done it a thousand times.
“Good choice sunshine, Buck’s a safer bet,” Bucky snarks, still grinning ear to ear. His unfinished cigarette meets the same soggy fate as the match Buck had lit it with.
