Eine richtig klare Vorstellung von der Zukunft hat Peter nie gehabt. Justus, Bob und er — der Rest würde sich dann schon irgendwie ergeben. In der Mitte seiner Zwanziger angekommen, sieht die Realität jedoch ganz anders aus. Aus drei Fragezeichen sind zwei geworden und jener Verlust, der Peter vor mehr als zwei Jahren den Boden unter den Füßen weggezogen und ihn vor so viele unbeantwortete Fragen gestellt hat, macht es ihm noch heute oft schwer, die alltäglichsten Dinge zu tun. Auf einer Reise, die so niemals geplant war, macht er schließlich eine unfassbare Entdeckung. Diese stellt alles infrage, was er jemals zu wissen geglaubt hat.
