Summary
The tides are currently low, waves sweeping past the shoreline gently, caressing their ankles when they enter. Kuroo wades into the water until it reaches his hips before glancing back, where Daichi is watching him.
"It's cold," he says, bending down so the water washes over his entire body. The sand slides off easily as he resurfaces, and he sighs as a refreshing breeze hits his skin, cooling him down.
Daichi's expression gives nothing away as he creeps closer. He stops just a few steps away from Kuroo, looking up at him, and Kuroo stiffens in anticipation.
Daichi begins squatting down, hands dipping into the water. Kuroo's eyes follow the movement as he warily takes a step back, and Daichi's lips split into a wide grin and—
Splash!
Kuroo coughs in surprise, water droplets running down his face and dripping from his hair. Daichi bursts out laughing, slapping his thighs in delight. "Got you."

This is unbelievable. Kuroo comes to a coffee shop during his break between classes, out of the goodness of his heart, just to help wingman Bokuto, and instead he meets the hottest guy ever who has the worst taste in chefs—admittedly, Osamu’s food could be good, but Kuroo is loyal, and Fukunaga is a bonafide culinary genius—and doesn’t even blink when he insults Kuroo to his face.
Kuroo may have met the most aggravating person on earth, and he’s TA for a class that Lev takes. Kuroo may also be halfway in love.
The two are not mutually exclusive, apparently.
Kuroo just came to the coffee shop to scope out Bokuto’s crush. Then he sees the best arms he’s ever seen.
