Summary
Out of some extraordinarily miraculous fortune, Gwen Stacy lives from her free falling death, at a great cost. Her lover, Peter Parker, manages to save her by leaving his legacy behind in her whole body, literally. A few weeks later, she buries him and is left with a tattered suit, a missing superhero, and a broken heart.
She should’ve died in that fall, and yet she didn’t. Now, with their local superhero missing, the city is in near tatters as rampant crime breaks everything apart while an unidentified evil takes over what’s left behind. It was only a matter of time before Gwen takes the suit and figure out how she was going to honor Peter’s sacrifice and protect the city they both loved.
Then, she meets a woman out of time. Her presence might be the answer to everything Gwen needs to protect the city, all while breaking her heart again in the process.

“I’d love to invite you inside but…” she trails off for a second, still breathing hard through her well-kissed lips. She pauses, then looks her in the eye. “I want to do this right this time.”
At the time, her words didn’t really make sense to Kate that much. It wasn’t until she was settled in her bed and getting ready to sleep did she realize what Lucy meant.
It was decided.
She didn’t want a relationship, that she was sure of. She just wasn’t sure she wanted to stop hanging out with Agent Tara either.

Summary
All of her memories fade away as she repeats the words in her mind. ‘It's you, It's me, It's us.’ She doesn't feel anything, doesn't remember anything about herself or what was happening but the blinding need to go back to Bly, walk, and fall asleep below the lake.
She doesn't move, just keeps staring at her own reflection. Her whole body feels afloat, and she can see herself staring down the overflowing bathtub as if she was trying to see the little bubbles in it.
It was then that Jamie would shake her out of her reverie, and then everything came crashing down at her once. The fear, the anxiety, the dreaded end of this temporary paradise she'd convince herself that was going to last forever. There was a twisted feeling in her stomach telling her that the clock was already at the eleventh hour and she doesn't have enough time left.
"One day at a time Poppins," she heard Jamie tell her as she took care of the distressed au pair, but she sounded very far away.
‘I don't have time, love.’ The sinking pit settles itself on Dani. ‘Oh god, Jamie. I'm scared about what might happen to us.’
