Summary
Some people have soulmates, though most never know it—unless they come close to death. In those moments, visions of a stranger’s life flicker at the edges of consciousness, binding two souls by something deeper than fate. Eddie Diaz learns this the hard way, stranded and bleeding in Afghanistan, haunted by glimpses of a young firefighter in Los Angeles. As he clings to life, their worlds collide in ways neither can explain. Soulmates aren’t always romantic, but sometimes, when the line between life and death blurs, they might become something more.
Evan Buckley always craved knowing he was wanted. Plenty of movies and books promoted soulmates as an attainable finding of the other half of one's soul. Self-destructive as a teenager, Evan "Buck" Buckley believes his fate is to wander through life unwanted and unloved- until he meets Abby, who confesses she was drawn to him from the moment she saw him after a call. Could she be his soulmate? The only real way to know is a near-death experience. As he chokes on their first date, Buck has his answer- he does have a soulmate, but it's not the woman in front of him.

Summary
Cam likes his women like he likes his coffee, hot and strong. Watching Sam as she sparred publicly with Daniel in what could only be considered rough foreplay, Cam thinks Sam is the definition of his perfect woman. he wonders if it's worth the risk to find out.
Sam/Cam with some Sam/Daniel overtones. I think both Sam/Cam and Sam/Daniel shippers will like it.

Summary
“So,” Buck says, head spinning. He’s really feeling the alcohol now. They definitely should have eaten something before drinking. “No women.”
Eddie fumbles as he sets the bottle down on his bedside table. “No women.”
“What about men?” Buck blurts, which is—crazy, because again: neither of them are gay.
They’re just two straight guys. Two straight guys in Eddie’s bed, tipsy, and—and Eddie doesn’t want to sleep with women. Which means nothing.
Beside him, Eddie goes preternaturally still. “I would know, if I—you know.”
“Okay.” Buck’s hands twitch at his sides. “I—yeah. Me too.”
Then, very seriously, Eddie turns to look at him. “If I were gay, you would be my first call.”
Warmth blooms in Buck’s chest. Eddie’s so nice to him. “Dude,” he says, touched. “You’d be my first call too.”
Or: a story set in season 2 featuring tequila, Just The Tip, and, finally, a kiss.

Summary
"Dad." Chris looks up. "Dad, please tell me this isn't actually you. Please tell me you have a secret twin or something."
Eddie frowns. "What isn't me?"
"This." Chris shoves his phone across the table, nearly knocking over Eddie's water glass in the process.
Eddie catches it before it can slide into his plate and looks at the screen. It's TikTok, which Eddie barely understands despite Chris's many patient attempts to explain it to him. There's a video playing on loop and the quality is terrible but Eddie recognizes his kitchen immediately. Those floor-to-ceiling windows he'd been so excited about when he first saw the apartment. The window with the busted blinds he keeps meaning to replace. His couch. That’s definitely his couch.
And yeah, okay, that's definitely him, shirtless, wearing the stupid cowboy hat that his buddy from his new firehouse gave him as a welcome-to-the-team gift.
That’s him. Cooking dinner. In full view of his massive windows. For apparently the entire internet to see.
"Oh my god," Eddie says faintly.

Summary
Eddie’s massage therapist is Briana.
He confirmed this six times: twice on the website, once during a phone call he made from his truck in the grocery store parking lot like it was a covert operation, three more times in the confirmation email.
"Eddie?"
He looks up.
That is not Briana.
The guy standing in the hallway entrance is tall and built like someone whose job description wildly undersold the physical reality. There's a birthmark above his eye that shouldn't work but does, way too much, and his scrubs fit him well. They — okay. They fit him obscenely well, actually.
His arms. God, his arms. They're just arms. Everyone has arms.
Eddie is suddenly, involuntarily, thinking about what it would feel like to have those arms braced on either side of him. Or around him. Or holding him down.
Which is not a thought he's ever had about a man's arms before. He's pretty sure. He's almost sure. He's going to move on from this.
He is going to stop looking at the arms.
Any second now.
Or,
It's just a massage. Eddie can survive that. Right?- Language:

Summary
He stands up, because Eddie does not cower from knocks at — he checks his phone — 10:52 PM, even though every true crime podcast his abuela forwards him suggests this is exactly how people end up as a Dateline episode.
He looks through the peephole.
He blinks.
He looks again.
There is a man on his porch. Which, fine, he expected a man. What he did not expect is for the man to be — and Eddie needs a second here, because he’s processing several things simultaneously and doing a poor job with all of them — approximately six foot two, broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted, visibly muscular in a way that suggests either a dedicated gym routine or a genetic lottery win or both, and completely, entirely, spectacularly naked.
Except for the potted succulent he's holding in front of his crotch.
Eddie's succulent. From Eddie's porch. The one Chris named Potricia.
Or,
The odds of the universe dropping a naked man on your doorstep are low, but never zero.Bookmarked by Su2112
