They’d come a very long way just for Grace to give up and die at the last hurdle, both physically and emotionally. The Tau Ceti system was a long, long way away now, and Grace had faced not one but two highly emotional suicide missions. Three, if you counted the time before he was given a military grade roofie and hucked into space without his memories.
Rocky and Grace make it back to Erid! Huzzah!

It probably won’t kill us—we’ve put far too much work into keeping each other alive for that—but every time I try to get closer to see what he’s doing, he acts like I’m trying to murder his firstborn or something and shoos me away so I don’t “ruin Grace surprise”. Jerk.

Buy now just at 30 dark dollars! Note: we are not legally responsible for damage you do to yourself or others after drinking Code Zero.” The ad ends, and the rerun plays again.
