Gyuvin let out a soft chuckle, but it sounded forced. “Yeah, fans are wild. They love making stuff up.”
Ricky’s chest tightened. That same easygoing, playful tone. The one Gyuvin always used when he was trying to brush something off.
“But what if they’re not making it up?” Ricky’s voice was barely above a whisper, but the words hung heavy in the air.
Gyuvin’s fingers stopped moving entirely.Ricky finally turned his head, looking up at him. His heart was pounding so hard it felt like Gyuvin could probably hear it.
“I just…” Ricky’s throat felt dry, but he forced the words out anyway. “I don’t think it’s that funny.”
Gyuvin’s expression shifted, his playful mask slipping just enough for Ricky to see the hesitation underneath.
“Why?”Ricky’s gaze didn’t waver. “Because… I don’t want it to be a joke.”

Summary
Ricky and Gyuvin are about to make the most of their New Year’s vacation when Gyuvin suggests ‘faking their honeymoon’ to get a free upgrade to first class.
However their plan completely backfires when not only the cabin crew but hotel staff too make Ricky and Gyuvin’s entire trip about their love for one another.
Playing along for the free drinks and food, the two seem to be deeply in love all week long. It isn’t until Gyuvin’s confession that Ricky realises it wasn’t a lie after all.

Ricky’s eyes shift into something unreadable as his face goes completely still. He takes a second too long to answer. To anyone else, it’d be meaningless. To Gyuvin, it makes his stomach instantly fall. Like he made a mistake. Like something’s shattered and he won’t be able to put it back together. Like he's in trouble.
“I know.” Ricky’s fingers twitch by his side. Gyuvin doesn’t even say anything about how there’s no ring on his finger. He doesn’t want to imagine why. He isn’t sure he can handle it right now. “I love you, too.”
That’s a pretty good example of how things are lately.
Gyuvin and Ricky have been best friends for over thirteen years. When they start drifting apart, Gyuvin starts to wonder where everything went wrong.
