Summary
“Captain America is haunting me,” Bucky says over a bowl of ramen.
His pronouncement is met with a round of silence.
“Captain America,” Natasha says. “As in--”
“The first Avenger,” Bucky confirms. “Supersoldier and hero of World War II. The fabric of the American conscience.”
“But he’s--dead,” Sam says. His look of perplexed concern, ever perplexed and ever concerned, only increases. “You’re aware of that, right?”
“I know,” Bucky says. “That’s why I said he’s haunting me.”

“Excuse me,” Buck groused, lightly shoving him off. “Eddie is taking me out after I spent ten fucking grand on him by winning a bidding war against my own SISTER.”
Hen inspected the photos that the restaurant’s website was offering. “Well, it’s very nice,” she said. She squinted. “Highly rated date spot, but whew, forty bucks for a lasagna?”
“And on my dime, no less,” Eddie grumbled.
“It’s not a date spot,” Buck said defensively.

Buck accidentally spends ten thousand dollars on Eddie at a charity auction. As payback, he insists that Eddie take him out to dinner.

Summary
Chris remembers, suddenly, the days after his mom died, the feeling of dread that lingered under his skin. The way it slowly bubbled up, over the years, until he couldn’t be this kid anymore, this kid who could look at the world and not see danger in every corner. He wishes that Theo will never be like that. He knows, living with a first responder, that the odds of him turning out any other way are against him.
“Hey, Theo,” he says suddenly, the words spilling from his lips without permission. “Do you think Buck is your dad?”
Christopher isn't sure how he feels about Theo, or what he means for him and Buck. When they're caught up in a disaster alone, he has plenty of time to figure it out.

Rozanov made a dismissive noise. “No, no, I will pick you up. Send me your address.”
“I’m not giving you my home address.”
“Why not!”
“Because you’ll probably post it on social media to psych me out before our next game.”
That made Rozanov laugh. “It is good idea,” he said. Stopped laughing. Started again. Blew out a breath like he had to get himself together. “I might do this to you,” he allowed, “but you have nice boyfriend living with you now. I would not do this to him. You are safe.”
In which Ilya Rozanov adopts himself into Scott and Kip's household and refuses to leave. Kip finds this very sweet. Scott is going to kill him.
