    Damian is a physician returning to America after years of working overseas. He has spent his life traveling from place to place, providing medical care wherever it was needed, never staying longer than necessary. He was content with that life, even if he sometimes wondered what it would be like to have a place to call home—something that had always felt out of reach and long accepted as such.

    Now working in a hospital in New York due to a shortage of doctors, he finds himself closer to his past than he has been in years. Being back in the same country as his family and in a city like New York brings old memories to the surface. He wonders, briefly, if they will ever meet again.

    Most likely not.

     

    His family never cared for him to begin with.

     

    And that was fine… He would continue to cherish them from a distance, even if it was never reciprocated. As long as they were healthy and happy. There was nothing more he could ask for.

    So, what if he was suddenly needed in Gotham?

    He should have known the moment he stepped off that plane.

    His plan of staying away wouldn’t go as planned.

    Damian is renewing with his family, navigating his new place in this new family between his kids and his role as the youngest of the Wayne, as if it wasn't already hard enough someone make a come back, Jon appearance in his life could change a lot of things.

    Jon was miserable, his life had no sense, he was lost and basically having an existential crisis and in his turmoil he didn't even have his best-friend to talk to, luckily for him Damian was about to come back into his life.

    Or the long awaited reunion of Damian and Jon after being apart for three years plus Damian have two toddlers that are totally not also Jon kids…

     

    I'm still not good with summary but its good trust me, also this is book two of the series so I would recommend to read book 1 before reading this one
