After a moment of silence, where Aoi already found the time to turn away to face the rising moon, Teru spoke: “It’s slower, right?”
Aoi stilled. “What?”
“Your heart?” Aoi didn’t confirm nor deny the statement, but Teru kept talking. “Supernaturals with a cardiovascular system will either have one that beats slower or one that doesn’t beat at all. For your situation, I guess that it beats slower in that form.”
Aoi still didn’t respond. So against Teru’s better wishes (and his mind, yet again), he walked towards the supernatural, and started climbing the fence to sit next to him. Normally, Teru wouldn’t even be able to stand being in the same room as an apparition, but this one felt different.
