Petra suddenly stabbed her sword into the table in front of them, startling the others. She looked hard at the other three and then up at the treehouse, where their friend was. "If we leave Jesse like that any longer, she might as well be dead." The 'too' went unspoken.
Harsh words, but Jesse was losing herself up there. She could get lost in her grief and never come back. The three stared at Petra, shocked by her sudden outburst, but they didn't say anything to object. They knew she was right, they couldn't let Jesse stay trapped in that treehouse for the rest of her life.
"Petra..." Lukas started. "I know we all want Jesse to feel better. But we should be careful about this. Reuben was important to her, we have to be sensitive."
He was right, of course, but Petra knew it wasn't that simple. "And Jesse's important to me."

They deserve a happy ending too.
But with so little power left remaining after destroying the barrier, a half-measure would have to be taken.
Better than nothing, right? And for some of them, much more preferable to how they were before and certainly during their deaths.
The Sixth and final SOUL is the last to awaken, and by that point, things have been quiet in the Underground for quite a while.
But there is still one more thing to be done, one more person to save, and in many ways they're tied to that Sixth SOUL as well as the Underground's self proclaimed caretaker.
A second chance and a happier life awaits Clover and Kanako if they can just grasp it.

As Roy and Friede tried to get closer, followed by their respective Pokemon, everything went wrong. An explosion from the other side of the ship shook the ground, and against all odds, the incredible strain being put on Floragato's vine that was holding them up became too much.
The vine snapped.

Or in other words, Liko and Amethio end up falling off the side of the Brave Olivine in the midst of a stormy and slippery battle, leaving them to fend for themselves in the wilderness awaiting rescue, all while having some nasty injuries that they need to take care of.
At least their Pokemon are there! Plus Roy's waterlogged Wattrel.
