One moment she was there, the next she was gone.
Leon's finding it harder to remember your face with each disappearance. He remembers meeting you for the very first time at the RPD, the shared traumas you and him had together.
Just as it was over, Leon looked over to you for comfort, relieved he and you made it through the night only to find himself alone.
He looked away for one second and it was like you disappeared into thin air.
No proof, and certainly no explanations, not even a body left behind to prove that you were alive.
He thought he didn't he'd have to go through his life alone but with you vanishing into nothingness, his string of hope had left with it.

Summary
Life is stressful. Work, people, the lack of sleep, it's hell, really.
However, maybe ending up in your favourite video game series where zombies are constantly trying to turn you into their next meal might be a tiny bit more stressful.
Not that you mind all that much if it means you get to see Leon Kennedy from up close, have him save you from time to time, grow way attached to him as if your fictional crush on him wasn't bad enough, have him grow attached to you, maybe kis- who said that. Not you.
Anyway, survival and finding out how to exit the game first, trying to help reduce Leon's list of traumas second, escaping third, right?
