Reclusive data analyst Dazai Osamu has maintained a strict policy of zero unnecessary human interaction. His apartment is dark, his monitors are bright, and his life is perfectly, blessedly stagnant.
His traditional, overbearing family disagrees. After dodging arranged marriage meetings for the better part of a decade, Dazai is handed an ultimatum: either attend the endless string of agonizing omiai his aunt has set up, or prove he is actively looking for a partner on his own.
Dazai chooses a dating app. The goal is simple: tank his algorithm, swipe left on the boring masses, and prove to his family that romance is a dead end.
Then he comes across a profile belonging to a French sommelier based in Bordeaux, with a fiery glare, an aggressive bio, and a zero-tolerance policy for short jokes. Swiping right is supposed to be a joke. The blasphemous message Dazai sends is supposed to guarantee an unmatch.

In order to investigate, Atsushi and Kyouka are enrolled as students and quickly realize that things at the school are not quite what they seem, and must call upon an unexpected ally for help: Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, who Atsushi has not seen since long before their six-month promise was up. With a murderer on the loose, and final exams on the horizon, can Atsushi, Kyouka, and Akutagawa solve the mystery in time, or will they find themselves caught in the school's web of lies and deceit?
