The angst!! Oh the angst!!! It hurt so good!!! I loved this so much!! Loved every word and space!! The way that it is in Draco’s pov but also we are privy to others’ thoughts through Draco’s observation. Why we are so much smarter than Draco and Harry. Classic idiots those two (i say very fondly). 🤣 loved the friend group!! And the sweet moments between Harry and Draco and the things Draco is not saying, and even trying not to think about some things was so poetic for me! The way they got together!! Oh how i loved that Harry was the one who pursued Draco to open up. Because avoidant Draco (because same 🤷♀️😅). And that “i love you” bit of Draco which Harry clarified spoken out loud - went back to that moment immediately!! That reveal was so good!!!!!!! Aaaaahhhh im in love!!!

Enjoyed this so much!!! Loved how this was started with them together already. And the whole story was like a memory film for Harry. And then continued again from where we left off in the beginning!! And i thought the transition from each timeline was so seamless.
Loved this Harry and Draco!! Their banter was so entertaining! I wanted to be a fly on their shoulder and just enjoy the show. Harry’s fluster, Draco’s smile and laugh. 💗💗
I thought this fit so well in the recent fest of Drarry Keep Your Secrets because the mystery around Draco’s work was so thrilling! I enjoyed each little reveal! It was so good!! I checked repeatedly which fest collection this was 😂.
Now im itching to read more about this secret Ministry Intelligence!! I usually think it might overlap with DoMystery. But i could see the point of the Intelligence (more about politics) as really separate from Unspeakables (being more academic/scientific). I love it!! -

this is the BEST time for me to read this masterpiece!! i thought i was getting in a reading slump and then this was recently rec'd in DTH discord and i immediately latched onto it!! though i must say ive already added this to my tbr months ago! and im so glad i got to it now.
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!! i easily immersed myself into this world!! i found the writing style so refreshingly easy and natural. the premise was really interesting. and then got blown away by the magnificence of the magical theory and HYDRUSSSSSSSS!! it was so thoughtful and compelling!! It broke me to read about Draco and Harry reliving their traumas!!! CRIED my heart out for them!!!! it HURT sooooo good!! i was in pain and i was in awe!!! the sweet moments were so endearing that really made me fall in love more with Harry and Draco!! i truly loved this story!! instant fave definitely!! top Draco soft Harry i love!!! -

This was soooo good!!! Truly brilliant!!! So unique for me!!! Im feral right now!!! 😭😭😭😭
I feel like i didnt read a story. It felt so alive!! So cinematic!!! Like, every scene was so clear and moving and emotional!! I loved how action-packed certain moments were. And it was balanced with tension-filled conversations and being together. Dagger-handling Harry and gun-slinging Draco are just perfection to me!! Their adventures from hostels to camping back to cottages/flats. I loved it!!! And ohmygod that patronus!! Both times!! ALL THE FEELSSSSS!!!! So angstyyy!!! It hurt so good!!!!

i loved this soulmate story so much!! the angst hurt so good!! i understand where each of them was coming from. to want someone so much and have that security and belongingness forever. to take and receive and settle for something less than the one you really want rather than it just disappear. the knowledge that all this time you're with someone who knew and you know it was their fear that prevented you from getting what you truly want. the fear of the unknown. ahhh this was so well done1! i loved it so much!!!!

I fell in love with this story as much as i fell in love with Pride and prejudice movie. I loved all the parallels and how it wonderfully worked with harry and draco. Each character was so complex i thought i had them figured out and turns out i barely scratched the surface. The yearning was so palpable!! It touched me completely! And i thought that smut scene was so well done and one of the sweetest hottest scenes ive read. Amd top draco fck yeah!!
There were a lot of scenes that were so cinematic for me, like Draco walking on the pitch to hand the letter, Draco walking in the rain, Harry in his quidditch games, the group in the Empyrean and neon lights. Soooo good!! Really enjoyed this!! -

Ooookaaaayyyyy!! Great prequel—or rather, inspiration—of smehur’s beautiful story!! I think i should reset my mind and reread this and then the sequel by Smehur. So id get the full story!!
But as a standalone, this is also great as it is! Harry after the war is def really feeling all over the place. The angst is angsting wonderfully!! The way he latched on to a feeling, however unhealthy it is, was so desperate. Trusting Draco to do that to him and for him, took a lot of not thinking and numbness i should say. Then the turning point of their stupidity as you like to call it, was so satisfying! It was so compelling that it would shake both of them out of how they started. And coming from Smehur’s story, that broomshed scene was all kinds of feels!!! Enjoyed this so much!!!

Oooohhh all the feels!! Loved it so much!! Draco’s feelings are so complex and it showed as much here. I also loved how he’s the ultimate top for bottom Harry because he understands Harry so much through years of “close surveillance”. He knows the power he holds but of course he also knows how to control it and not take advantage. I loved how soft Draco is here. Soft dom definitely!
That Greg and Draco scene packed so much angst there. It was a very sweet special moment that i never encountered yet. It was really beautiful!

I read this after a heartbreaking story on Draco’s birthday. Such a great soul cleanser!! Im so happy this beautiful story ended Draco’s birthday for me. Loved the whole fairy inheritance of Harry and Draco’s forest. Love me some soft Harry and he’s so adorable and sweet. Love a ruggedly gorgeous Draco who’s so captivated by Harry and doesnt hide it. I actually imagined the hobbit house as described, before i saw in author’s profile the other The Hobbit stories written. So great!!

Oh nooooooo i read this at the wrong time!! Today’s Draco’s birthday and i thought i was in for a great love story —- or rather great happy ending. But i have tears and snot and a broken heart. 😭😭😭🫠🫠🫠💔💔💔 my chest is so heavy right now.
Aside from that, i loved the ambiance of this wonderful melancholic story. I havent watched the One Day movie. But i thought this story had similar feels of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Never Let Me Go. The day being Harry’s birthday was so meaningful and painful over time because of Draco’s wanderlust. I knew something was gonna happen unpleasant after Harry’s comment about his work. It just didnt match with Draco’s passion. But i was holding on to the hope that some day Draco will reach a point of completion in his research or something that would make him stay in UK and be with Harry finally. And of course the annual light spheres he sends to Harry as a sign of his affection for Harry. There were a lot of moments where it was so frustrating because Harry wasnt as open and expressive of his feelings to Draco. And the same could be said of Draco.
I thought the beach moment was beautiful and a great potential for a turning point of their relationship but still Draco left him before morning. And it hurt so much!! And the waiting!! And the heartbreak from Pansy’s letter and photo. And then Draco is just as a mess as Harry. And he’s been collecting all his paintings!! That hurt too!! All the implications of it. And now im also a mess. 🫠🫠🫠😭😭😭
Angst is def angsting.
Such a beautiful poetic story. 🫶 -

A million kudosssssss!!! Kudossssss!!! Enjoyed this so much!!! Loved how McGonagall was so assertive and not just a follower of whatever Dumbledore decides. Loved how she really took Harry away from the dursleys! I also feral about Remus taking care of Harry because he was the only one left of his friend group. (Like in The secret language of plants)!!!!! Remus and Harry is just family!!!!!
And childhood friends with Draco! And sweet Narcissa!! I loved that part so much!!! They were so sweet and adorable together!! I loved that it was still Draco who got to be Harry’s first friend like they shouldve been. And then next was Ron without any complications.Of course growing up with 2 loving patents will make Harry having a different mindset and personality. He didnt have those prejudices and discriminations against others. So him really being in Slytherin totally makes sense. And that was such a good setup of befriending others in different houses.
The Hogwarts adventure was so fun reading with this kind of setup, with this Harry’s upbringing. Adults are present to help out the students in times of trouble!!! Because they really should. And students really should ask for help!!!! Loved the differences that made and i truly enjoyed it!!
Sirius being acquitted that fast was so refreshing!! Loved wolfstar as ever!! And Sirius, even after Azkaban, being so funny and his young self was lovely and hilarious!!
Loved how draco and harry’s friendship evolved over time. It felt so natural. Loved that it was really age appropriate i would think. 😅 they are so sweet!! And the way the adults just watch out for them and tease them occasionally was also so lovely and very domestic. Felt all the love around them whenever they’re together!!
The Wolf Pack was an insanely great idea!! Enjoyed reading those parts!
I also loved how the writing was so refreshing! Such an easy read i just devoured it!! Loved that there was great pacing and the feels i think were balanced. At some parts, i was really focused reading and then there are lines that would just make me laugh out loud. It was great!! Funny characters!! Great lines!! And of course during the war, jokes at the expense of voldy were so hilarious!! That nothing underneath the robes and chilly part by Luna was INSANEEEEE!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Truly enjoyed this epic story!! Lovely characters!! One of the sweetest family dynamics ive seen. I had such a great time spending it with them. 🥰🥰
