    His mother’s smile wasn’t unnatural by any means. In fact, if he didn’t know better, Shouto might’ve thought this was his mother. But here he was, standing outside of the Todoroki manor when he should’ve been in the U.A dorms, with his mother, who should’ve been in the hospital, standing beside him. And… he was cold. Despite the two halves of his quirk usually regulating his body temperature unless he was actively using one half over the other, he was just… cold. Both halves of him.

    “How did I get here?” Shouto asked his not-mother. Was this a dream?

    Toshinori glanced up. Sure enough, a few stars began to shoot across the sky. A memory from long ago came back to him then. “You know, Americans believe that if you make a wish on one when you see it go by, it'll come true.” They continued to watch as a few more decorated the black expanse above them.

    “Really?”

    “I guess.”

    Izuku Midoriya and All Might, after a bad week, find themselves making similar wishes on a shooting star. Their wishes are closer to coming true than either of them realize, but in order to bridge the gap, they need to confront some unspoken things between them.

    It’s been nearly 27 years since Eva Stratt forced Ryland Grace to board the Hail Mary and sent him off to his death for the greater good of mankind. Meanwhile, Eva and the Project Hail Mary team have been fighting a losing battle against the cooling sun—and their own demons—trying to make sure there were still people to be saved by the time the crew could send a solution home. Right on schedule, the beetles are returning to Earth, hopefully with the answer to saving the world. But Eva has something else to worry about; there’s every possibility Ryland Grace’s last words would be coming home, and all the time in the world couldn’t make her ready to face the consequences of her actions, or what will happen when her colleagues find out what she did to their friend.
