The only thing they had in common was failure. Shisui failed to accomplish the only thing he swore he would, ruining his family in the process. Shen Qingqiu never moved past survival to want.

And, in doing so, learns more about Shen Qingqiu’s past, motivations, and life than he ever expected. And, maybe, more about himself and his feelings along the way.

    Shen Yuan is a dragon, they mostly stick to a human form so this affects very little in his life other than being particularly lucky.

    This poses more of an issue when he's unceremoniously transmigrated into a world where dragons are gods who choose kings and control nature... as the scum villain. Like Shen Yuan cannot communicate enough that the fucking scum villain is now a god!!!
    Shen Yuan now has to figure out how to thwart the plot and his horrific demise whilst also hiding the whole 'god in mortal skin' thing despite the system's attempts to correct the plot making that really hard.
