Summary
“Would you like me better if I was a girl?” Dylan suddenly blurted out, breaking their silence, his brain finally crashing to a standstill.
“Uh… what?” Ryan asked, looking perplexed at Dylan’s sudden question, staring at him.
Dylan didn’t repeat himself — the infection was thundering through his veins, his mind, invading all his personal and private thoughts and making them finally cut through a repressed wall in the back of his head by being spoken aloud. He doesn’t even know why he asked the question, but it was suddenly so important that Ryan replied. He wasn’t even sure if he was talking to Ryan anymore.
Or:
An appropriately unhinged The Quarry rewrite .

Summary
So, College is tiring, revising is tiring, work is tiring and Dylan’s just gotten motivation to write a long essay that’s not due for a while even though his sleep schedule very much needs fixing.
The power clocking out at twelve at night when he’s on his fourth coffee, which switches off his laptop and therefore renders him into bed and resting? An appealing convenience. Made even more appealing by the fact his boyfriend is there.
(you don’t need to read ‘Like My Bad Habit’ to read this, just know that Sydney is Dylan’s sister in this, I just gave her a name and that this is post-canon)

Summary
"His thoughts seemed to stray back to Ryan, the way their stares had met throughout the week. His eyes unusually difficult to read. They hadn’t interacted much one on one yet, but maybe that was only egging Dylan on. He was challenging to crack, grasping on to the hard shell that was his edgy persona, which Dylan found to be terribly intriguing. He ached to solve the mystery that was Ryan Erzahler. To see him fold just with his words. And If that was his sole mission for this summer, he’d dedicate his all to it and make sure they’d come out satiated."
Or the weeks of horrendous pining going on between the both of them as they navigate their summer camp obligations, homoerotic tension and the threat of a wicked curse looming about in the forest

Summary
“Did I do something wrong?” Mike questions, mouth twisted in a frown, eyes less wide than they were a few moments ago, sleepiness gone. His arms stay at his sides, although his fingers fiddle with his sleeves. “What did I do wrong?”
Will frowns back. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Mike doesn’t look like he believes him. Will doesn’t blame him. “Then why do you keep leaving?”
The world ends, and then some. Mike and Will find each other again, amidst the debris and distance.
