Set scene. A random 24/7 convenience store. It is currently sometime past 2 am, and the sky is glittering with stars. Both characters stand in front of a vegetable aisle, with a shopping cart full of some snacks, energy drinks, and a random plushie that reminded Tsukasa of Toya - to gift him at a later date. Rui takes his position to the right of the shopping cart, leans over a little bit to get closer to Tsukasa, who turns to him with the sudden movement - he was eyeing the tomatoes like he misses eating them. He might be. Their apartment has been vegetable-free since they moved in. Whoops.
"You said I could choose any vegetable I wanted, right?" He is definitely smirking. Another whoops. Alarm bells are ringing in the star's mind, no doubt. Too late to back out now, Tsukasa-kun. You did this to yourself. Rui giggles in his mind to himself like a madman. He cannot wait for the plot twist.
The fluorescent lights buzz in the background as both of them stare at each other - the night envelopes the rest of the world, leaving the two in a weirdly intimate position. There is no one in the shop except them, now that Rui notices. Well, the cashier doesn't count, no?

Kamishiro Rui and birthdays never got along, the day simply serving in reminding the lonely boy on his solitary state. Sitting alone in front of a cake the teenager can't do anything but try to convince himself that he is not as depressed over it as he knows he is.

Birthdays are simply depressing, right?
At least they were until WxS came along.
This is an insight to a particular birthday of Rui's during his time in Middle school. It was none that was particular special, as it was simply one of many.
However, maybe Rui and birthdays did manage to get along in the end.

Just imagine a world where nothing and all exists. A world where you have the ability of creation, yet are alone. That would be a world some people might wish for, but others? Not so much.
Alone and afraid of anyone in his path, Kamishiro Rui, an eighteen year old boy who can only fear those surrounding him. As young as he is, he is the same person who has the ability to create anything he desires. Although, given this ability, you’d want to use it all the time, right?
That lasted for a while until one day. This particular day. A boy, around 5 '7 or 5' 8, with long, blonde-sunset hair had come to Rui’s tower, hoping to get a specific item out of the lavender-haired male.

Summary
Tsukasa sat at the end of the bench, hunched over with a water bottle in hand. Sweat dripped off his face from both the summer’s heat and from the work he put into practicing his scenes. His clothes stuck to him a bit awkwardly and he could tell just by the fatigue in his muscles that they'd need to call it for today soon.
That wasn't what was bothering Tsukasa, though.
Despite all this, Tsukasa's eyes were laser focused on one point. Essentially ignoring everything previously irritating in order to put full focus on the subject- subjects- in front of him.
Rui was talking to someone.
Or: Tsukasa gets jealous, denies the fact that he is, and it blows up in his face

Tsukasa smiled, his eyes were smiling too, his whole demeanor could fight the lighting came from his night lamp. He could fight the sun itself as well, if he wanted to. But Rui was familiar with Tsukasa; he knew the blonde wouldn't fight anyone, wouldn't replace any light or shine with his. Instead, Tsukasa would decide to coexist with them, make the shine brighter, make the light more blinding.
