Summary
Astrid isn't sure what she did wrong because she thought she was doing the right thing the entire time. She believed in Hiccup, everything he showed her and told her. She had realized that Hiccup was right and she was determined to follow in his footsteps. Sure he and Toothless had run away, she could hardly blame him after all. The village wouldn’t have believed what Hiccup had to show them. They had never believed in him to begin with... To be fair, neither had she.
So instead Astrid stopped killing dragons, not that she had gotten the chance to kill one anyways. It certainly helped that the raids ended a few weeks after Hiccup left. So she had plenty of excuses to not kill but still practice to be a warrior. Even if her mother had insisted now was the perfect time to learn how to be a good and doting house wife. But that didn't stop the dragon killing ways of Berk, so she set off on her own.
Somehow it still ended up with her stuck in a cell, on an unknown island, with her only companion being a Night Fury with painfully familiar forest green eyes.

What kind of person she will become. As long as she has Toothless, Hiccup feels that she could take on the world.

This was supposed to be an easy day, a break from the daily struggle. A supply run to get some necessities at the Northern Markets. But like everything in Hiccup's life it is anything but easy or uncomplicated. From a dragon turned best friend to a witch that decided Hiccup and Toothless needed a change in gender. Nothing has been simple since leaving Berk. Today is just the next in a long line of Terrible Terrors thrown in the way to mix things up. In this case that Terrible Terror is one Astrid Hofferson.
