Book one ends with two major diffrences: 1. Sokka went on the mission with Hahn (it did not go well) 2. Zhao survives the North Pole and that proves unfortunate for everybody (except Zhao, obviously)
Imprisoned on Zhao’s war ship, Sokka and Zuko have to work together to survive. They are not very enthusiastic about this prospect.
And they argue.

"We're rivals," Todoroki says finally, but it sounds more like he's reminding himself than protesting.
"I know."
"This would be complicated."
"It doesn't have to be." Katsuki shifts his weight, leaning against the doorframe. "It's just stress relief. Just two people working off adrenaline after a hard game. It doesn't have to mean anything."
"It doesn't mean anything," Todoroki repeats, like he's testing the words out. Seeing how they feel.
"Nothing at all," Katsuki confirms.

The problem with fucking your rival is you get used to it. The problem with getting used to it is you start wanting more. For Katsuki and Shoto, the hardest matchup isn’t on the ice, but the one happening in bed. Feelings keep checking them from behind for some stupid reason.Series

“And lastly…” Aizawa paused. “Group 10: Todoroki and Bakugou.”
After earning their provisional licenses, Class 1-A is assigned to a month-long field mission to locate the League of Villains’ new hideout in the Shirakami Mountains. The task is simple in theory: map the area, eliminate possibilities, and report back. With few students being capable of matching Bakugou’s power, he is naturally paired with Todoroki for the semester.
The mission goes wrong when suddenly Todoroki and Bakugou find themselves stranded in the middle of the mountains with no map or any form of communication with the outside world.
Todoroki is an impenetrable ice wall none of the students have been able to break through, including Midoriya. He’s cold, rude, and only speaks when spoken to.
Bakugou never planned on getting involved, but he had never been good at ignoring problems that refuse to explode.Or, Todoroki never rejects his fire, and Bakugou is the first person at UA to get close enough to notice the cracks in Todoroki when they are forced to work together on their mission.

“What’s the line, Shoto?” Katsuki asks, pressing. He needs it defined, needs it solid. “Where’s the boundary? Is it kissing deeply? Is it under the clothes? Where do we stop?”
Another long pause. He can almost hear Shoto thinking, can picture the slight frown, the distant look in his stupid eyes.
“The line,” Shoto says slowly, “is anything that would damage our working relationship after this ends. Anything that would make it impossible for us to be partners when we walk away. That’s the only boundary that matters.”
So it's not a physical boundary. It’s an emotional one. Feelings. And that's so much more dangerous.
OR:
The mission is simple: fake date convincingly, secure the asset. Nobody mentioned the part where "convincing" means letting Todoroki fucking Shoto suck love bites into his neck. Katsuki will be filing a complaint.Series
