Summary
In the months following Snake's final mission, he lives life to the fullest until his body can't keep up with him anymore. Wasting away in a Manhattan apartment, watching Otacon's mental state deteriorate day by day, it seems like this is simply how their story comes to an end. Unbeknownst to him, Otacon isn't ready to give up—and neither is Sunny.
Persuaded to try experimental gene therapy far away from home, Snake finds himself realizing just how much he's been willfully ignoring about those closest to him... and just how much he will lose, if this doesn't work.

Summary
“It’s New Years Eve.” Hal said, barely contained by the doorway.
Dave blinked. Yes, it seemed to be. “It is.”
“And you don’t seem to- I hope you don’t mind- you don’t seem to get out much.”
That was true, “I don’t.”
“Would you want to come over tonight?”
Yeah, he would. “Sure.”
“Great, see you then.” Hal seemed pleased, Dave felt pleased too.Bookmarked by Soconfused

Summary
This wasn't exactly how he'd imagined their first kiss, Otacon thinks as freezing rain cascades down his hood onto his partner's ashen, glassy-eyed face. He laces his numb fingers on top of Snake's breastbone again, and prepares for another round of CPR.
