He starts hiring Jack's chef on the side, in the hopes that maybe once Bitty's done with college he'll come work for Jesse.
Good thing there is absolutely no way whatsoever that Jesse could possibly be misinterpreting this situation.

Since the game Mashkov lifted him by one hand and shouted his soulmate words at him, Kent spent most of his time avoiding him. But when a snowstorm diverts their flights, Kent and Alexei will have to drive the rest of the way to Jack's winter cabin together.
All Kent has to do is survive a road trip through a foreign country with a guy who hates him, without giving away that they're "meant to be" and without doing something ridiculous like falling for him along the way.

Hefting his carefully-curated care package under one arm, Jack wrestles with the key in the lock before tucking it safely back into its hiding spot. He shuts the door quickly behind himself, and is toeing out of his shoes when a voice echoes out from somewhere.

Jack Zimmermann is an established hockey player. He’s three years in to his NHL career, has had the A for the Falconers for two and a half, and is ready to make winners out of the new group of rookies. He pulls one under his wing, affectionately nicknamed Poots, and it should all go as planned. But say Jack accidentally discovers that Poots has a boyfriend. And say that Poots wasn’t a very good boyfriend. And say, for arguments’ sake, Poots’ boyfriend definitely deserved better.
Jack is maybe, possibly, totally fucked.
