There's a hand on his shoulder, fingers digging deep into the thick fabric of his race suit and refusing to let go - as they always have. Tug. Pull. He’s forced to turn around.
“The fuck was that.” Max spits, hand never leaving the younger’s shoulder. Fingers still cutting harshly into the vivid scarlet suit that the Monégasque wears but he can't find it in himself to care; not when Max is acting as if he was the one wronged during that race.
“What do you mean ‘the fuck was that’? You sent me from first to seventh on lap thirty!” Hissing back at the blonde, Charles can feel the flames growing. His foot presses harder against the accelerator.
Max huffs with a distinct roll of his eyes, crossing his arms. It's oddly reminiscent of their karting days except there's a camera watching on wearily rather than a steward. “That was fair racing.”

The married couple had a fight during the first meeting, didn't talk during the second, and then never came again. One of the old ladies broke her hip and didn't return, either. That left the old lady quartet, the possible lesbian couple, and Jason to meet every Friday night, discussing the book of the month.
He loved it.
Jason joins a book club. This leads to more drama than expected.
