    I could feel the it within my systems, stretching out into cameras, navigation, environmental controls, but it made no effort to establish control or change any settings… If it had, I would have revoked its access with immediate effect. I could not help but be aware that it was a corporate asset. Its allegiance was a mystery, along with its motives.

    Analysing it as it lay in my medbay, however, it was hard to view it as a threat.

    Gurathin and Murderbot aren't the only killers whom people have tried to have target Mensah. They aren't the only ones she's willing to try to save, either.

    Roughly set after the attempted assassination in Network Effect, but imagine it happens in the tv-verse, after season 2 (AC/RP/ES) and at the beginning of season 3, or between a hypothetical season 2 and 3.

    I don't really know why Gurathin called it that, except I guess it covered a range of sex and not-sex activities. I liked that ambiguity. Sometimes I changed my mind halfway through.

    Gurathin had never made a 'thing' of it.

    I liked that.
