“Hello darling.” Caitlyn had taken to calling Vi the particular pet name more often after Vi had admitted that she liked the way her accent made the word sound.
“Hey Cait, I hope I’m not interrupting anything important? It’s just…I want to talk to you about something.” Vi said with a nervous and tentative tone in her voice, very unlike the cocksure and solid tone that usual came from her words.
“Nonsense Vi, I was just reading; come here and tell me what’s bothering you love?” Caitlyn said with a supportive tone as she patted on the space next to her on the couch, placing a bookmark in her book and setting it down on the low table in front of her as Vi made her way to her, sitting down with more care than usual.
“I want… to talk to you about… what I was doing while were… separated. You’ve been so patient with me and I adore you for that, telling me what you were doing being open and honest about everything.”
