Your stupid ankle should be perfectly fine just standing around!”
“Fine!” Keith responded leaping at the opportunity to get back into action, “I’ll show you how to actually hit a target.”
“Great!”
“Yeah, great.”

Summary
Shiro and the other paladins grew up together in foster care. Or rather, survived five years relying on each other in the "Hell House"—a foster home run by Anthony and Honvera Zarkon—before the system finally caught on and separated them.
But now Shiro is eighteen and has won custody of his self-proclaimed siblings. He's determined to give them the life they deserve, but circumstances are stacked against them. It's not easy to raise four traumatized teenagers, especially when you are more than a little traumatized yourself. Money is tight, stress is high, and on top of all that, Shiro is embarking on an all-but impossible of dream: attending college.
Shiro is determined, though. They've survived this long by the motto "If we work together, we'll win together." They will survive this, too.

Head still half hidden on his chest, maybe a little on his neck too, he looked at the younger boy, finding his blue eyes from under his own dark long eyelashes. “Do you want me to?”
Lance gulped, and suddenly, his hands were grabbing his waist tighter. He leaned his head down just enough for his lips to brush against his earlobe. “Yes, I’d like that very much.”

Or, now that they were adults and not the teenagers that were forced to fight a war against an evil empire, they could make mature decisions if they wanted to.
Lance and Keith had been friends with benefits for years (kinda, it was different and they knew that), and Keith, despite being in love with his teammate now best friend for far too long was content with what they had.
So he was a little confused when he unexpectedly started crying after one of their encounters .
