How couldn't he see that he should be using his powers less not more? If he didn't stop soon, she would have to take matters into her own handsPercy was conflicted on one hand it was exciting to explore his new powers and find new ways to use his current ones . However Annabeth's nagging and paranoia was slowly getting on his nerves. He doesn't know how much more he can take. Each incident was another strike on the wall and everyone knows what happens when it gets to three.

Percy’s not quite sure what comes over him then. Unable to explain it. To make sense of it. Attributing it to pure instinct.

Amphitrite focuses on nothing but her connection to the child through the prayer. The connection which is abruptly cut off after a blood curdling scream pierces her mind.
Amphitrite flashes away from her domain in Atlantis within milliseconds to the kitchen of Sally Jackson.
