“How many problems can one boy cause?” He mutters, turning his chair to his desk. He freezes. A sickly curved dagger lies on the surface of his desk. One of his Wraith’s. She has painted lines across his desk, curling toward another blade stuck in the center, an arrow on the hilt pointing up to the ceiling. Pekka’s gut churns. Shit. Shit. Shit.
He slowly allows himself to dare to look up. His mouth hangs agape at the sight. Strung from the ceiling, her hands tied and looking rather out of sorts, is his second in command. His lead Grisha. His best Corporalki. Nina Zenik. Written across her body in bright paints, surely ones he’d gifted the Suli girl himself, is the same word over and over again. On all limbs, across her chest. On her cheeks.
