It takes a moment to register what's truly so odd about the moment - a strange weight pulling at her back with the motion of a pendulum, the soft scraping of something as organic as it can be against plastic. The way it comes from behind her, from below her. With a start, Pomni realizes she's wagging her tail.
Is... Is this how dogs feel? She thinks incredulously, a soft and mortified heat overtaking her face. Yet despite that, her tail only seems to swish more. Her chest is... it's full. Warm. She's happy right now, honestly for the first time in days. She feels close to someone! And she kind of... wants to touch them. To loop an arm with theirs and rest her head on their shoulder, and pull actual comfort from their presence.
