Summary
Drift spent his life alone. Unwanted and neglected, he was left to die in the streets of the Dead End. As Deadlock, he was forced to kill in cold-blood under Megatron's orders; a weak link in an army of murderers. But, aboard the Lost Light, Ratchet and the crew remind him that he isn't alone anymore.
OR:
Drift is injured asf and full of angst and Ratchet is there to comfort him, refusing to leave his side! Meanwhile, the crew plans a party for him! Yay!
Includes flashbacks of Drift getting high in the Dead End and killing mfs as Deadlock. :3

Summary
In the treetop city of Iacon, songbirds like Ratchet are prized for their gifts and dismissed for their supposed fragility, told time and time again they cannot be trusted to survive on their own beyond the safety of the city's branches. As CMO, Ratchet has spent his entire life ignoring that assumption, throwing himself into danger for every patient who needed him. After a near-fatal bandit attack outside the city walls, the flock's leadership decides Ratchet can no longer be trusted to protect himself. So, he's assigned a personal knight: Drift, who may or may not be a secret infiltrator from the Decepticaws, tasked with gathering important intel for a future raid.
