Siffrin laughed again. “But it doesn’t matter anymore. I’m stuck because my wish is fighting the King’s wish, right? I think my wish is taking priority over the King’s since it’s more recent and has more intent, but if neither wish can be fulfilled, then there’s no way out.”
“Surely you could just ask–”
“If neither wish can be fulfilled,” Siffrin continued, talking as if Loop didn’t even speak, “then I just have to break the wishes.”
(An ACT 5 scenario where Siffrin realizes that the only way to break a wish is to erase the wishmaker, and Loop must do whatever they can do stop them.)

She let go a breath she didn’t know she was holding. Even if they were a little mean about it, it was really relieving to hear.

Kris didn’t exactly know what to do at this point. Susie asked them to take Noelle to the festival in her stead but… Noelle didn’t know that. And they don’t really know how to bring that up without it being weird.
Without it being forced.
They could just… not bring it up. The two of them would go their separate ways, and Kris could hang out in Castle Town until it was time to carry out more of the plan. They were fully content to just walk away right now.
“I guess it will just be the two of us, then.” Noelle said.
Or not.
(In which Susie stands up Noelle, leaving Kris to fill in her shoes.)

Now that she mentioned it, they did notice that the party members were named after their friends.
The main character was Noelle, the tough psychic user (because the UnderBound games didn’t use magic, instead it used PSI) was Susie, the thief was Asriel, and the dog was Kris.
Wait a moment.
“Did you name the dog after me?”
“Yeah.” She nodded.
“You know me so well.”
(After an impromptu sleepover, Kris watches Noelle play Mother 3.)

Noelle walked closer, only for Kris to grab her arm gently. “My darling. I do not know if I will survive to see the ‘morrow.” They said extremely dramatically. “Promise me you’ll… you’ll… uh…” They trailed off.
“Damn. This ‘last words’ thing is harder than it looks.”
Noelle shook her head fondly, moving her arm to where instead of Kris holding on to her arm, they were homing onto her hand. She rubbed circles on their hand. “Well, it’s a good thing you aren’t dying anytime soon.” She said with a sweet smile.
“As long as the plague doesn’t claim me.”
(In which Kris is sick, and Noelle takes care of them.)
