He swears he hears Phainon swallow.

Summary
Mydei doesn't involve himself in relationships of any kind. He doesn't. It's always easier to simply exist next to them and offering them a hand, but he has a secret to keep and it's much safer for the both of them. However, he didn't take into account that starting to work in an animal shelter and meeting an older, particularly insisting man would lead to everything that he thought he would never dare to taste.

Cipher huffs, stretching until she's leaning against him, and Mydei has to brace a hand on the ground to keep his balance. “Tsk tsk. This isn't the way to get the attention of someone you fancy, you know! Especially someone at least six years older than you are!”

mydeimos is the crown prince of castrum kremnos. he’s nearly twenty-one, about to be crowned king, and his life is falling apart at the seams. his own father loathes him, their opposing ideals and the threat of war driving them even further apart.
khaslana is his knight who swore to protect him. he’s competent, handsome, and also years older than he is. mydei just might be in love with him.
