Summary
Avid takes another step inside, then another, until he's completely in the house. There's a gasp and his pointed ears twitch as he whirls around towards the source of the sound and-
It's Elle.
She doesn't look the exact same, black crawling up the skin of her right arm and the side of her face, alongside a bright yellow eye and a gnarled horn breaking through the skin on her forehead.
Then her arms are wrapped around him, and she is warm and bloody tears gather in the corner of his eyes, and it doesn't really matter that she looks different, just that she's there.

Downy fluff covers his skin, feathers of red-yellow-blue on his wings, no flight feathers yet but it is only a matter of a few years.
It is doing as it always does, Watches its Person from the remnants of the Void between buildings, flying through the branches of the trees and launching itself away when one of its Person's friends flick their ears and become to focused on where its sitting.

Summary
What it says on the tin! This AU focuses mostly on Avid and Elle, alongside the other 2006 vamps, but I may write stuff that focuses on the other vamps.
TL;DR of this AU: Diverges mainly around episode seven right after Avid gets killed by Doc and Apo at the lake (though I'm sure there are bits and pieces before episode seven that changes that makes this ending possible.) Everyone makes it out of Oakhurst after they figure out how to get out without killing or turning everyone. Eventually everyone does end up turned (specifics in the notes.) Fics in this AU will focus around events that happen after everyone leaves Oakhurst, whether near immediately after or many many years after.

“No one made it out of Oakhurst alive.”
“But I thought you said that you guys were there when-“
Abolish rolled up the end of his glove to reveal two puncture wounds on his wrist, the skin raised where the scar tissue had healed around it.
“Oh,” Elle shuddered and leaned back heavily in her chair, “Right.”
It doesn’t really seem fair to let your friend die just so you can avoid the paperwork, so, in the wake of Martyn and Ren’s death, Abolish begrudgingly accepts vampirism. He wasn’t too fussed either way, if he was being totally honest, and if there was a chance to let the doc live, then he’s fine to pay the price.
It’s been a year, and Abolish and Legs have been working side-by-side- sire and fledgeling- in Abolish’s organisation, and they’ve mostly managed to put Oakhurst behind them.
But then someone knocks on the door of the organisation, asking for their help. They’re looking for their friend, who had gone missing somewhere near the town they’d been trying so desperately to forget about.

"It would be easier to kill you. Mr. Goldsmith, you have been a thorn in my organization's side for centuries."
"Oh, you're apart of that little group?" Scott mused as he tapped his finger against his chin. "I was wondering if you all were still around." So Abolish wasn't just a vampire hunter like he had suspected-he was a trained vampire hunter. Those were a different breed entirely.
It had been a while since someone had posed a threat to him. This could be fun.
He had to shake his head to snap himself out of the mindset. He didn't have time to play cat and mouse with a vampire hunter, not when he had a festival to attend with Legs.

OR:
Legundo and Scott plan a road trip to a music festival, but things go bit awry when Abolish shows up and asks for Scott's help. In return, Scott gets a little more peace instead of being hunted down by the organization.
Things could about as well as one could expect when Legundo doesn't know about any of this.
