    Summary

    Something is wrong.

Sunday can tell as much from the moment he wakes up, eyes fluttering open to the soft light the Express uses to mimic morning. It's a sight he’s grown accustomed to, yet today it leaves him with a knot in his throat, with clammy palms sticking to his bedsheets. It is when he draws his first breath of the day, only to find it uneven, that an inkling of something sinks into his bones.

He’s sick, he realizes, and with it comes the fluttering of his heart in his chest, abnormal and abrupt. A rhythm disrupted.

Or: Sunday gets sick, but decides to hide it, not wanting to ruin the crew's plans to go to a karaoke joint. This, of course, blows up in his face.

    A cough.

Till's gaze snaps up at the sound, caught between disbelief and the cruelty of a maybe. He waits, dares not even to breathe, terrified that even a single sound would shatter the illusion.

Another cough, so soft that Till would not have believed he heard it if he had not also noticed Ivan's shoulder jerk. For a single moment, he stays frozen in place as if in a trance. Then, the fog lifts.

    "Ivan?"

    Ivan survives Round 6.

    Summary

"Not only was Till running with him, but freedom for them both was so close. Ivan felt hope bloom right next to desire and longing. It made his chest ache with how much he wanted to be free of the Segyein, of the violence and dehumanization. To be somewhere without being watched. To see Till grow somewhere where doesn't need to fear someone being near means their intent is to hurt him.

Then he felt Till's grip change, just slightly, he did not let go but the loose hold of their hands made doubt and anxiety take over Ivan's entire being, replacing his previous feelings. He readjusted their hands and held Till's hand in a death grip, pulling him again to match his pace which he quickened, as though the faster they ran the less likely Till was to stop."

    --

What if Ivan held on tighter to Till's hand during their escape attempt? What if Till let him and let him pull him further towards their freedom?

Lohen grinned. The Durin of Mondstadt was very much an adolescent dragon, only about a hundred years old or so (at least, that’s what Lohen had heard. It was a bit hard to tell, considering his childish mannerisms).

    He continued reading.

However, in the past, dragons had their own customs. Many researchers have been led to believe that, in the past, dragons clashed horns in order to show their affection for one another. For any other being, this may be considered a dangerous practice…

Lohen slammed the book shut so hard it probably woke up the entirety of Mondstadt.

    “One more thing.”

Lohen turned back to Diluc. He looked far more serious than he had thus far. Lohen held back any quips, head tilted in question.

“Don’t forget to get that looked over by one of the medics.” Diluc gestured vaguely to the wound Lohen had sustained.

“Oh! I totally forgot about that. Heh, doesn’t even hurt.” When Diluc’s gaze turned threatening, Lohen gulped down the rest of his sentence with a chuckle. “...And I will, of course, get it looked at! For sure!”

When history repeats itself, the Knights of Favonius find themselves caught up in yet another scheme involving the Fatui, the Treasure Hoarders, and a strange obsession with Ursa the Drake. As the copycat runs loose, Lohen finds himself in the center of it all, as one of the few people familiar with Ursa’s inner workings. However, his obsession with the case pulls attention away from his physical well-being. Does Lohen have what it takes to be a sound captain? Or will he fail to protect even himself?

    OR

In which Lohen gets so in over his head that he forgets about his injury until it’s too late. Basically, I just needed an excuse to write Lohen hidden injury fic.
