Blitzø should’ve known throwing fucking bread crumbs wouldn’t be good enough to lead him back home. Of course some birds or squirrels or something were gonna eat them, and of course he was gonna be stuck out here in this stupid fucking forest and die just like his stupid fucking Dad wanted. ...Or that's what he thought before he, luckily, found a house made entirely of cheese and hot sauce. However, unluckily, it belonged to the evil slutty witch he'd heard so much about.
The rumors about him started up about a year ago, and warned that although he seemed sweet, he would try to trick you into touching him. If you made the mistake of doing so, he’d eat you alive. Blitzø used to think it was all bullshit, but many people had said they’d seen the witch, and they all agreed that he was unusually friendly and seemed particularly desperate. And this owl seemed unusually friendly and particularly desperate.
So as long as he didn’t touch him, then, it should be fine.

The demon chuckled. “Cute fucker,” it said under its breath. “You're already starting to win me over, and I don't even know your name.”
“I’m St—” he started, but cut himself off. He remembered tales, warnings, of what could happen if you gave an evil or mischievous spirit your name. “Uh… I'm sorry, but… I don't… know if I should tell you that.”
The demon smiled widely, with all of its pointy teeth, before hopping down from the merry-go-round, the dry grass crunching under its boots. It offered out a large, claw-tipped hand. “The name's Blitz,” it said.

When the constant fighting between him and his wife keeps getting worse, Stolas seeks respite within the peaceful woods behind his house. After he suddenly starts finding himself stumbling into a decaying, otherworldly realm, he can't decide if the mysterious demon residing there is friendly or hiding something more sinister, or if any of it is real at all. Would he be willing to make a deal with the devil to find out?

The corner of Blitzø’s lip curved upward into a smirk, and he took a step toward Stolas. “When are you going to ask me out?”
