Ever since that fateful day, he had resigned himself to one day feeling this promising child fade away with his collective consciousness. But when the opportunity presented itself to him, he couldn't but grasp at it desperate to keep this one from fading away.
He doubts anyone could fault him for what he did that day, not without being hypocritical. He’s being cruel, in the way only gods can be, but he can’t help but be glad that the accident had happened. For all that it had threatened to take what was his, it had given him the opportunity to keep his son.

Apollo had known about Annabeth’s ever-growing distaste for him when he had befriended Percy; he had dismissed it initially because there didn’t seem like there was anything that she could do to hurt him. Besides, Athena’s children follow her, blinded by hubris, looking down upon those that are not their own.
He was most certainly wrong and is not afraid to admit that. It will be her undoing for touching what’s his. And as much as he would like to tear her apart for what she has done, there were more pressing matters to attend to.

He could swear that all of the time he had spent with Apollo was real.
All the nights sleeping on the cabin roof, under the watchful eye of the huntress, under the constellations. Cuddled up, and kept warm by the god of the sun as his personal heater.Annabeth looked over him concerned every time he mentions Apollo in a favourable light, asking every time if he was feeling alright. Why was everyone else so insistent that he had a strong dislike for gods if he was so sure he was dating the bright one.

Summary
Just a couple of hours ago, Percy had been bouncing around, dragging him around a theme park, happy to spend time with him. But all that changed while they had been driving back to Percy's Apartment for the night, a car came out of nowhere and rammed straight into the car they had been in.
Triton could still feel the sticky warmth of mortality that clung to the crimson blood of his baby brother. The sticky feeling of blood as it flowed down his hands, as the paramedics whisked Percy away.
This was like Pallas all over again. Were all the people he loved doomed to die?
If only Triton had succeeded in convincing Percy, this would never have happened.
