When his superiors in Par Vollen tell him to monitor the breach in Haven and keep an eye, the only one he’s got, on the so-called Herald of Andraste and their ever-growing band of diplomats, soldiers, and spies, The Iron Bull obeys. Newly appointed bodyguard to The Herald, Iron Bull finds Taren Trevelyan to be a lot more than he bargained for. The brief from superiors says adult female, human mage with noble parents. As usual, reality proves to be a bit more nuanced.
Almost 15 years since he's last seen Par Vollen, and a little less than five since he met with the re-educators, the demands of duty are still clear. But the desires of the heart? Not so much. Definitions of home, friendship, loyalty, sex, and love are tested as he struggles to find the line between Hissrad and The Iron Bull.
Previously titled Or Maybe I’m Wrong. Scenes rewritten with new and additional dialogue + new chapters, and altered POV. Follows main events of DA:I story. Liberal use of official and author-inspired Qunlat (https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Qunlat).

The Teleri have constructed their greatest vessels, and have begun to consider turning their attentions back to starlit Endore, while the Vanyar hold firm to the Valar. All the while Manwe, King of Arda, knows that his brother Melkor's sentence in the Halls of Mandos is nigh at an end, and looks to the Allfather for a sign.
And across uncounted time and space, a grad student trying to squeeze a nice time out of a research trip to Cape Verde finds herself tossed right into the thick of it all. Illuvatar works in mysterious ways.

She tries to push the old, well-worn phrases from her mind, getting up, settling back onto her knees and closing her eyes. The position is familiar, easy. She folds her hands in her lap, and waits for words to come to her.

Summary
Despite what everyone might think, the gods are not too keen on simply watching the end of the world. The Absolute is a foe that is meant to be defeated, and they will stop at nothing to ensure that it is done.
Shadowheart has been cursed to repeat her adventures involving the rise of the Absolute with each death bringing her back to the beginning of her adventure. Now, she realises this will be the last chance she has to defeat it. With both Shar’s interference and the actions of her dark past haunting her, the order of events have changed and even the memories of what’s to come are steadily rendered useless.
A time-loop fic set in the 'last loop' blending the events of Baldur’s Gate 3, Early Access, and Unreleased/Unfinished storylines mixed in with a few surprises along the way—hence the canon-diversion. We’re going to Anga Vled, people.

This story sticks closely to BG3 canon. This author knows very little about dungeon and dragon's, Baldur's Gate lore, and writing in general.
