Just as Asahi was about to speak, Suga interrupted. “I mean, I offer him extra meat at dinner! Sure, that could be friendly, whatever. He scores a point and I scream my lungs out. Seriously, the Fukurodani coach was glaring at me so hard. And Daichi just looks over and gives me a cute little smile and-” He cut himself off with a groan. “This is so hard.”
As Asahi raised a finger to share his input Suga cut him off once more. “And right before this! I walk out of the gym, and what do I see? Daichi, standing there all sweaty, lifting his shirt up to wipe his forehead. I swear, he should be an underwear model. Except they’d have to tear down all the billboards because he would cause so many distracted driving incidents.”
He took a breath and continued. “But, I see him and I go all ‘ha ha are you sure you’re going to be able to get back to the room ha ha’ because it’s not socially acceptable to say ‘I want you to spike me like a volleyball, and-”
Asahi grimaced. “Gross, Suga.”
or daichi and suga both get bet to confess to one another before the training camp ends, but they're both stupid and pining and very bad at this (daisuga week day 5: rivals)

“Hey,” Koushi whispered, cupping his cheek. He sat up, leaning on his elbow as he stroked warm skin. “The house is on fire.”
“Mmkay…” Daichi muttered once more, making no moves to wake up.
“We lost all our money.”
“Mhm…”
“I’m leaving you for coach Ukai. The old one.”
Daichi groaned, brown eyes finally opening. They met Koushi’s own, and he was sure they were full of mirth as his husband settled further in bed, getting comfortable.
“As long as you’re happy, my love.”or newlyweds koushi & daichi spend a day lounging around on the beach, being horribly domestic (daisuga week, day 4: second chance, beach day)

Summary
They’d spent years together, never being far apart. When Koushi had a speech to make at a gala, Daichi would stand by his side, watching him with pride after witnessing all the practice he’d put into it. When Daichi had to train, Koushi would opt to bring his studies outside with him, sitting on the edge of the training grounds as he admired Daichi fighting with Tetsurou.
Once, he could’ve sworn he’d overheard Tetsurou mumble something towards his knight, something like, “Daichi, your prince is watching, you gotta try harder to seduce him,” but the head knight had been cut off with a jab to the stomach.
or prince koushi and knight daichi fall in love, sneak into the village, and maybe worry asahi a little too much (daisuga week, day 3: nobility)

Daichi, subconsciously, dropped the smile he wasn’t even aware he had. “No, I don’t.”
“Yeah. I saw it.”
He tried to change the subject. “Did you brush your teeth, Hiro?”
“Yeah, I did. You smile when you talk to Suga.”

Summary
Their friendship had been built upon openness, upon Suga’s confession their first year that he had failed the history exam he was so confident about, upon Daichi’s confession that he had been toughing out all the spicy dishes Suga ordered and could not handle his mapo tofu. There was never anything to be embarrassed about, so why would he be embarrassed over something so wonderful?
There certainly were times when he wished he was less obvious, though.

“do you ever feel caged in?”daichi pauses. not really, is his first thought. the world is vast, it would take him a hundred or so years to walk the whole earth. he doesn’t feel suffocation at letting branches grow from the main trunk, reaching out farther away from home. for daichi, it’s his way of flying.
flying. oh. daichi thinks he understands now. “sometimes.” it’s not entirely a lie, sometimes he feels as though he is stuck in between a rocky shore of a beach, wedged in between heavy boulders with only gaps of light to see through. daichi pours most of the sauce into the pan, letting it reduce down and soak into the meat.
in other words; five times daichi cooks for suga and one time suga cooks for daichi.
