Another woman walked on stage, wearing a long, form fitting teal cocktail dress and heels that added a few inches but still didn't put her anywhere near Mira's height, her round face framed by the loose strands of hair that hadn't been tied back into space buns. She wore so much brightly coloured jewellery that she jingled when she walked.
Rumi sat upright.
She was gorgeous.
Rumi attends a talent show at the request of her best friend and gets pulled on stage by a very pretty magician. She didn't have any choice but to fall in love.

Summary
Zoey turns in Mira's giant bed, now occupied by only her, and a quiet pang grips at her heart, so subtle she brushes it off at first. Out of the three of them, she is the one who sleeps the most, she knows that. Even so, Rumi and Mira very often just cuddle up, speaking in hushed tones, until Zoey is pulled from her slumber.
Occasionally, when she takes too long to wake up, they head to the kitchen to start breakfast so there's food when Zoey inevitably wakes up starving. She loves that they know her so well.
Today, though, waking up alone in this huge bed stings a little more than normal. It's a weird feeling, quiet and uncomfortable, something she can't quite grasp or describe.

Or, Zoey wakes up feeling a little off. The more she pushes it away and tries to control it, the more it controls her until she can't hold it in anymore. But don't worry, her girlfriends are there to hold her through it. (It's just me projecting my feelings onto Zoey yay)

Zoey’s eyes meet hers, sparkling with mischief even as she lets herself be guided toward the door.
“You’re cute when you’re jealous,” Zoey murmurs once they’re outside, the cool night air doing nothing to calm the fire under Rumi’s skin.
“I’m not jealous,” Rumi lies jealously, steering her toward the car.
“Uh huh,” Zoey drawls, unconvinced, her grin never wavering as she allows Rumi to steer her away.
