Ilya's face was burried into his hands as his husband's stuff were piled on the coffee table in front of him. Beside him, Harris was shakily drinking a glass of water. They search around the house, none of Shane's shoes were missing, he left his phone, and the reading glasses were left untouched by Shane's bedside table.
Where was his husband?
"It's all gonna be alright, Ilya. Shane is fine, I'm sure of it." Troy says as he sits by the vacant spot on the couch. "He's a tough guy, he's probably alright."

Every couple forms team and they do little challenges on the ice. Best couple wins cup, I think. Is fun’
Shane tried not to sound too jealous as he asked: ‘Who are you going with?’
‘Nobody. Is fine. I have my team’
‘Yeah, but you also have a boyfriend’, Shane pointed out begrudgingly.
Or, the Ottawa Centaurs organise a WAGs Day but Shane knows that if he signs up to be Ilya’s teammate, they'll have to work hard to keep their secret. And to win that cup, of course.

Skipping his fingers greedily along the chain, Ilya hurries to put it on, fumbling with the strange clasp until he hears a satisfying click of it locking in place. The weight is more than he’s used to, sits heavy on his skin where the previous one had danced and moved with him.
It could feel cloying, choking; instead, it offers reassurance.
